The deadline for voters who need to regularize or issue a voter registration card is next Wednesday (8). Some services become unavailable when the deadline ends, such as updating personal data and transferring voting locations or municipalities.
The action aims to ensure that citizens are up to date with their documents, as there will be elections for mayors and councilors in all Brazilian municipalities, starting on October 6th this year.
To facilitate the provision of services relating to voter registration in the Federal District, the TRE (Regional Electoral Court) announced that electoral offices will hold an on-call regime this Saturday (04), from 8am to 1pm, with limited in-person service spaces. According to the Superior Electoral Court (TSE), the federative units will decide the times and shifts to assist applicants.
Electronic self-service is an option in addition to in-person service, but it is not provided for those who have not performed the biometric reading, such as those who have not yet issued their title.
Elections
The elections will begin later this year, with the first round scheduled for October 6th. From August, election advertisements and free business hours can begin. Candidates will later be able to use media, such as radio and TV, to carry out their campaigns, ending three days before voting begins.
In the case of a second round, it must take place on October 27th, taking into account cities with more than 200 thousand inhabitants eligible to vote and which have clashes in the first round, that is, in case none of the candidates receives more than 50 % of votes. This way, they will be able to appeal to the second round.

Documentation
The documents required to issue or regularize the title are: official identity document with photo or marriage\birth certificate; bring proof of payment if there is any debt with the Electoral Court; proof of residence that must be in the name of the applicant, or the parents, or the spouse; proof of discharge from military service for male applicants.
Voters can transfer their city title or voting location via in-person or self-service, as long as they have already checked their electoral status. The applicant must present a document proving the link with the municipality when choosing to transfer the voting location.
Those who want to update their electoral data must have a biometric registration for self-service and those who do not have one must schedule an in-person appointment.
For the title to be regularized, the requesting voter needs to access the Superior Electoral Court website and click on “regularize your canceled electoral title”.
