Hacker attacks TV Justiça and leaves a message for the channel's top management

This Friday (01), it was reported that the TV Justiça network, a public television channel administered by the Federal Supreme Court (STF), suffered a hacker attack on its system. The information is from the Leo Dias Portal.

Reportedly, the technical team is currently trying to regain control of the system at the headquarters in Brasilia, the intrusion of which appears to have been the main objective of the attack, in addition to the delivery of an audio message. No channel on the broadcaster has made a statement about the case so far, and it is reported that the MP3 file left by the hackers was only released to the top brass at TV Justiça, to avoid leaking information that the broadcaster’s network was hacked.

However, TV Justiça continues to air without changes to its programming, remaining live even on its YouTube channels (@STF_oficial and @RadioeTVJustica), in addition to continuing to publish articles on your website (without any mention of an intrusion into your system.

According to the main sources in the case, the technical team is investigating what the hackers' objective was, and whether it is a case of “kidnapping” of the broadcaster, in which a ransom would be demanded for the restoration of the system.

Attack on Record TV

This type of attack already occurred in 2022 with the broadcaster Record TV, in a case where criminals invaded the broadcaster's central network in São Paulo, where files such as reports, television frames, and programs to be launched are stored. ados. During this incident, Record was saved by the fact that the hackers did not have access to confidential files, only journalistic products that the IT Department already had copies of.

Still, it was the biggest attack against a television station in the world, and Record suffered from several changes to its programming during negotiations, in which the hackers charged an amount of US $5 million and several employee and former employee data were leaked.
