Check out the New WAW Mini Album!

The newest mini album”WAW” by the South Korean group MAMAMOO, held this Wednesday (2), according to the group's members, is an opportunity to reflect on the last seven years of their careers, “It's about the past, the present and the future”, claims the MAMAMOO girls.

The group recently made a comeback with a four-track mini-album, which is just the first three-part ongoing project with the same title, which will also include a concert and a documentary.

The song from the mini-album, “Where Are We Now“, has as its concept and reflection on a story of people who, after a long journey together, stop to ask themselves where they are now.

“It's about the past, the present and the future”, according to the group’s members in an interview with the South Korean newspaper Seoul Economic Daily, “It's not just the story of our group, MAMAMOO, but a story that everyone can share“, reported the MAMAMOO girls.

The group also reflected on where they are currently on their journey with MAMAMOO, “We are grateful to be able to be on this journey together and with our fans. In the time we've been on this journey as MAMAMOO, we've been through a lot of things that we wouldn't have been able to do on our own.”, said the MAMAMOO members.

Regarding the decision to release a mini-album composed exclusively of ballads, MAMAMOO explained that this was part of the group's effort to present a harmony and chemistry that the group has developed over the years.

“As it is an album of only ballad-style songs, we paid extra attention to our vocals, so that each of the voices complemented each other and harmonized better.”, said the girls in the group.

On April 13, 2021, MAMAMOO member Wheein released her first solo mini-album “Redd“. The first single from the mini-album, “water color” reached number 15 on Billboard's World Digital Songs chart. On April 23, 2021, an English version of the song was released.
