It rains again in Rio Grande do Sul

With the forecast of rain and winds for this weekend, the population fears that the level of Guaíba will reach 5.0 meters high again. Some people were already able to return to their homes to collect personal belongings, or rescue animals left behind during the unexpected departure. The situation is precarious in the shelters, as there is a lack of clothing so that residents can withstand the drop in temperature.

Civil defense advises residents not to attempt to return to their homes, especially for those residing in the metropolitan region of Porto Alegre, in addition to the high risk of drowning, diseases caused by contaminated water can also worsen the health situation of the population.

Meteorologists say the weather should improve next week.

According to experts, it will take a long time for the water level to drop and for people to be able to return to their homes and restructure their homes.
