Arlindo Cruz is discharged after 25 days in hospital and celebrates returning home

After 25 days in hospital, singer, samba singer and composer Arlindo Cruz, aged 64, was discharged this Tuesday (5). He had been hospitalized at Casa de Saúde São José, in Humaitá, in the South Zone of Rio, since August 11th.

Arlindo Cruz's health status

The singer had swelling in his jaw, due to the bacterial mumps he had caught and his signs began to improve as soon as he took the medication. And in March 2017, he suffered a serious stroke and spent a year and a half in the hospital, in addition to undergoing more than 17 surgeries and, last year, he was hospitalized again due to an adjustment of a valve in the brain.

The news that he was discharged was released by the artist's ex-wife, Babi Cruz. She posted a video of Arlindo in the ambulance and celebrated: “The happiness of returning home! And riding in an ambulance, it's not such a wonderful ride, but just knowing that you're coming home… The strength, the lessons we have in life, the values ​​we learn, priceless“, said Babi.

Singer's 65th birthday celebration

Arlindo Cruz turns 65 on September 14th. The proceeds from the singer's party will all be used to pay for his health treatment and will take place on the 13th of this month, at the Império Serrano samba school, in Madureira, in the North Zone of Rio de Janeiro. Furthermore, among the attractions confirmed are: Pique Novo, Bom Gosto, Grupo Clareou, Molejo, Arlindinho and other names that are scheduled for the samba singer's celebration party.
