The adaptation of “All the Light We Can't See”, a four-episode miniseries based on the book of the same name by Anthony Doerr, released a new trailer on October 3rd. The trailer, lasting 3 minutes and 25 seconds, is intense and dramatic. Watch:

About “All the Light We Cannot See”
According to Netflix, “All the Light We Cannot See” tells the story of Marie-Laure Leblanc (played by Aria Mia Loberti), a young blind French woman who, along with her father and uncle, seeks refuge in Saint-Malo during The Second World War. At the same time, we follow the trajectory of Werner Pfenning (played by Louis Hofmann), a German teenager with an exceptional talent for repairing radios, who is recruited by Hitler's army.
Anthony Doerr's novel was released in 2014 and won the Pulitzer Prize for Fictionas well as Andrew Carnegie Medal for Excellence in Fictionboth in 2015. The book also appeared on the New York Times list of the 10 best novels and was a finalist for National Book Award.
Cast and production
In addition to newcomer Aria Mia Loberti and young Louis Hofmann (known for his participation in “Dark“) playing the protagonist duo, the cast includes Mark Ruffalo (The Hulk/Dr. Bruce Banner from the “Avengers” franchise) as Daniel LeBlanc, Marie-Laure's father; Hugh Laurie (Dr. House from the “House” series, MD”) in the role of Etienne LeBlanc, the protagonist's uncle; Lars Eidinger (“Babylon Berlin“), as Reinhold Von Rumpel; and Andrea Deck (“Homeland“) playing Sandrina.
The miniseries was directed by Shawn Levy (known as “Stranger Things” and the “Night at the Museum” trilogy) and written by Steven Knight (from the series “Peaky Blinders“).
“All the Light We Cannot See” will be available on Netflix from November 2, 2023.
