Camila Cabello will perform at a benefit concert to announce the launch of the 'Protect Our Kids' fund

This Sunday (8), Camila Cabello will present a benefit show, to promote the launch of the fund “Protect Our Kids” translated Protect Your Children.

The singer will partner with “Equality Florida” (Florida-based American political advocacy group that defends LGBT civil rights and protections) and “Lambda Legal Defense and Education Fund” (American civil rights organization that focuses on LGBT communities), to challenge the law “Don’t Say Gay” (Don't Say Gay) of Florida State will also provide resources for impacted students, teachers and families. The Cabello-sponsored event will take place at a private location in West Hollywood and will also include special appearances by the contestant such as the famous drag queen Valentina, who was one of the legendary contestants on the American reality show. “RuPaul’s Drag Race”will also feature transgender singer Shea Diamond and a local youth choir.

In an interview given to the website Variety, Camila Cabello reported her position on the incident, she said: “As someone who grew up and still lives in Florida, I am shocked that my home state is putting the health and lives of young Floridians at risk by passing this law and inviting discrimination in our schools. We must protect all students and respect all families. I am so grateful to all of our founding partners who stand in solidarity with LGBTQ youth and families and raise money for the 'Protect All Kids Fund' to help 'Lambda Legal' and 'Equality Florida' put an end to this hateful law.”

It is worth noting that the SB 1834 Bill “Parental Rights in Education” translated Parental Rights in Education, was already approved on February 24th by the Florida House of Representatives and will now be voted on by the US Senate.
