Asia, South America and North America
Three of the six remaining places are from clubs in South America. Brazil can only have one more representative if Botafogo, Grêmio or São Paulo win the Libertadores title. So far, Boca Juniors and River Plate, from Argentina, and Olimpia, from Paraguay, are classified via the Conmebol ranking.
The places remaining for this year's Concachampions and Asian Champions League champions and the host country of the tournament, which will be played between June 15th and July 13th, remain to be filled.
