Atlético-MG rehabilitates itself in Libertadores in the night of Igor Gomes

After two defeats, the Atlético-MG team reacted this Wednesday in Libertadores, beating Alianza Lima by 2-0, for the third round of Group G. Igor Gomes was responsible for scoring two goals. Galo was in control of the whole game, managed to create many opportunities, however, lacked a bit of whim to be able to execute a rout. Hulk scorer ended up wasting a penalty.

With the triumph, Atlético has the first three points in group G. The Alianza team has four points, the same score as the Athletico-PR team. Igor Gomes was not among the most renowned to decide the match. However, he shone beautifully to leave Atlético alive in the Libertadores. The midfielder scored his first two goals for Galo, after playing 19 matches. Igor had not scored since April 2022, when he was playing for São Paulo.

Pavón had his debut in the Libertadores with Atlético’s shirt. The Argentine player served six suspension matches that were imposed by Conmebol due to the confusion of Boca Junior players after the match against Alvinegro at Mineirão in 2021, when Pavón was defending the Buenos Aires team.
