Released last Friday (29), Beyoncé's album “Cowboy Carter” has been positively evaluated by the main music critics around the world. Pitchfork, one of the main music journalism websites, for example, gave the “Best New Music” seal (Best release, in English) and rated the singer's new work with an 8.4 rating.

The website highlighted that “the follow-up to 'Renaissance' is a powerful and ambitious country album in Beyoncé's singular mold, asserting her position in the genre as a talented and influential pop star can do“. Critics also highlighted points present in the singer's latest albums with greater emphasis since “Lemonade”, such as black protagonism in music, female empowerment and the 42-year-old artist's personal life.
The 2016 work, by the way, is largely responsible for the creation of “Cowboy Carter”. According to Beyoncé, the creation of the new album “was born from an experience she had years ago, where she didn't feel welcome”, a clear reference to the performance of “Daddy Lessons”, a track from “Lemonade”, at the Country Music Association Awards ( CMA), alongside female group The Chicks. The “Texas Hold'em” performer claims to have suffered racist attacks from the audience and on the internet.

Pitchfork also named Beyoncé's lyricism and vocals as highlights of the album. Among the most praised songs on the site are “Ameriican Requiem”, “Daughter”, “Bodyguard”, “II Most Wanted” (in partnership with Miley Cyrus), “YA YA” and “Just For Fun”.
Author responsible for the review text, Julianne Escobedo Shepherd ends by citing “the incredible stimulus for a debate on the history of black music on a large scale during the last few weeks in all media”, encouraging the defense of the rights of minorities, especially Americans.
Historic
This is Beyoncé's sixth consecutive project to receive Pitchfork's “Best New Music” certification. Previously, “Renaissance”, “Homecoming”, “Everything is Love”, “Lemonade” and “BEYONCÉ” also received the best release label on the site. The Houston artist's live project was the one that received the highest rating with a 9.3 rating, one of the highest in the vehicle's history.
The albums “B'Day”, “I Am… Sasha Fierce”, “4” and “The Gift” have also been evaluated.
Other notes
“Cowboy Carter”, like other works by the artist, has received good comments and recognition, receiving top marks from important vehicles such as Rolling Stone, The Telegraph and The Independent.
At the time of this report, Beyoncé's Act II has six reviews computed with an average of 91 on Metacritic, a site that brings together reviews from the main specialized critics. However, new analyzes should be computed throughout the week, including that of Pitchfork itself.
