Madonna's megashow is scheduled to start at 9:30 pm on May 4th, in Rio de Janeiro, in Copacabana. The show in the city ends the “The Celebration Tour”, which marked the celebration of the American singer's 40th anniversary. The event organizers already predict that approximately 1 million people will attend the show.

With this number of expected fans, it is necessary to have a robust structure that can receive so many people, and that makes the show experience beneficial and safe. And the queen of pop's tour promises impressive numbers.

The stage will be set up in front of the Copacabana Palace facing the Leme neighborhood. The stage alone will have 24 meters in front and 821 square meters of area, with 3 walkways and 1 elevator. Access will be free. This is expected to be the biggest show of Madonna's career.

For such a large event, the singer's team has at least 200 people, occupying 90 rooms at the Copacabana Palace. 5 hotel rooms are also reserved for rehearsals. Madonna brings with her 80 tons of equipment, transported by 3 cargo planes and 30 trucks. Part of this equipment will be used to set up 3 gyms that will also be located at the hotel.

The wardrobe of the singer and her artists includes 45 trunks, with a special highlight for 40 boxing gloves that make up one of the choreographies. In addition to the giant structure being prepared, the singer also called DJ Diplo to be the night's special guest. On the day, the show will be broadcast on TV Globo, Multishow and Globoplay.

How to get to the show location

To avoid congestion on the streets close to the concert structure, it is recommended that fans prefer public transport for transportation. The Rio subway will work on a special scale before, during and after the show to serve the entire expected audience. It is recommended that you disembark at Siqueira Campos station, in Copacabana. On the way home, the three MetrôRio stations will be open for boarding until 4am the next day.
