Thiago Silva arrives with a party and says that playing for Fluminense is priceless

Thiago Silva arrived in Rio de Janeiro this Friday morning (07) and was welcomed by more than a hundred Fluminense fans at Ilha do Governador airport. The tricolors shouted his name and he responded, waving back, also signing autographs and sharing photos. All of this pleased the people who had been there since early in the morning to see him.

The tricolors sang the song “He is the best defender in Brazil” and the famous song that became a hit in 2008 when the defender said goodbye to the club: “Warrior of the tricolor defense/ race, skill and vigor/ Thiago Silva is king/ I will never forget/ the myth that the fans consecrated”. Thiago Silva left customs at 6:02 am and spent more than half an hour signing autographs.

However, starting a match again as a club player may take some time. The player will only be able to compete from July 10th because he has moved to another country. Thiago Silva was in England, where he played for Chelsea. “I'm happy with the reception. Playing for your favorite club is priceless”, stated the idol. And he concluded by saying that “Whoever took a little time to come here, be with me, is very important. I could feel it, but tonight it will be bigger”.

Family will not stay

Initially, Thiago Silva's appearance was scheduled for 10am (Brasília time) yesterday, June 6th. However, the athlete faced an unexpected personal event in London, which made him change his previous schedule. He arrived accompanied by his wife and children. However, the family will not move to Brazil. Only Thiago will leave London, as his children still have valid contracts with their former club, Chelsea.

The tricolor idol was presented to the fans at Maracanã, on Friday night, at a party with open doors.
