Two unprecedented Brazilian hat-tricks occur in the same round of the Champions League

For the first time in the history of the Champions League, two Brazilian players scored hat-tricks in the same round. Vini Jr., from Real Madrid, and Raphinha, from Barcelona, ​​performed the feat in consecutive games, consolidating Brazil's hegemony in the competition. With Raphinha's three goals in the victory over Bayern Munich and Vinícius Júnior's three against Borussia Dortmund, the country reached 23 hat-tricks in the tournament.

Vinícius and Raphinha make history in the Champions League

On Tuesday, Vinícius Júnior shone in Real Madrid's 5-2 victory over Borussia Dortmund, in a historic performance at the Santiago Bernabéu. On Wednesday, it was Raphinha's turn to repeat the feat, helping Barcelona beat Bayern Munich 4-1. This is the first time that two Brazilians have scored three goals each in a single round of the Champions League, adding new chapters to the rich history of Brazilian football in Europe.

Brazil is the country that has had players score hat-tricks most times in the competition, with 23 feats achieved by 17 different athletes, including legends such as Romário, Rivaldo, Ronaldo and Ronaldinho. Neymar and Luiz Adriano are the only ones to achieve the feat three times, with the former Shakhtar Donetsk striker scoring up to five goals in a single match against Bate Borisov in 2014, a record among Brazilians.
