Vini Júnior regrets elimination in the Champions League semifinals

Real Madrid striker Vinícius Júnior conducted interviews after losing the Champions League semifinal game with a 4-0 defeat by Manchester City. According to the Sofascore website, Vinicius Junior took just one shot in the match against City and failed to create great chances to win. The Brazilian did not hide his disappointment when talking about it.

“I would trade all my goals, my assists to be in the final, it’s always difficult to reach the semifinal. We managed to arrive with a certain ease, against great teams. We were focused, we had confidence to arrive and win. But playing against City is very difficult, it’s a team that always has the ball and when we can’t impose our game rhythm from the first minute, it’s very difficult, and that happened”, said Vini Júnior.

“Everything I’ve done, not to win the Champions League, not to win the league, ends up being a little frustrating for me. But I want to keep evolving, increasing my numbers, but always for the benefit of the team”, added the athlete.

In a magical season, the youngster is at his best moment for Real Madrid, already 23 goals and 19 assists in 2022/23, the Brazilian was on the field in 53 of the 57 matches played by the club.
