Celtics try unprecedented comeback in the NBA; see the teams that approached the mark

O Boston Celtics face the miami heat this Monday, the 29th, at TD Garden, for the decisive Game 7 of the NBA Eastern Conference Finals. The Florida team opened 3-0 in the series, but the Massachusetts team sought a tie with three straight victories to force the last possible duel.

Against Miami, the Celtics try an unprecedented comeback in the league to advance to the Finals; O denver nuggets swept the Los Angeles Lakers in the West. Boston is only the fourth team to take a decision to the seventh game, but could be the first team to win by that score.

The last draw after the defeat in the first three duels happened in 2023, when the blazers matched the series against dallas mavericks. The team, however, was defeated in Game 7.
The feat of the tie occurred on two other occasions: in the 1951 Finals, when the New York Knicks surprised the Rochester Royals (current Sacramento Kings) and ended up defeated in the decisive game; and in 1995, in the struggle that the Nuggets gave to the Utah Jazz.

Now, 20 years after the last feat, the Celtics are trying to surprise the Heat to conquer the historic mark of the only team to come back 3-0 in the playoffs. Last Saturday, Boston won a victory in the last thousand, at Miami’s home, in an “unlikely” duel.
