Vintage Culture engages in California nightclub brawl
The Brazilian DJ Vintage Culture, artistic name of Lukas Ruiz, got involved in a mess in a nightclub in California, in the United States. Days before the second weekend of Coachella, the Californian festival where the musician performed on the 14th and 21st, Lukas and the team argued with nightclub security and there was even a physical fight.
According to sources in the column Leo Dias, from the Metrópoles newspaper, Lukas was upset when the security guards at the venue called the DJ’s attention because he would have urinated in a glass. At that point, the Vintage Culture team tried to intervene and the fight broke out.

So far, neither Lukas nor the team have commented on what happened. Despite the confusion, the musician’s performance at the North American festival this Friday (21) was not affected.
In addition to Vintage Culture, artists such as Bad Bunny, BLACKPINK, Frank Ocean, Gorillaz, Rosalía and Björk were in the line up. In addition to Lukas, another Brazilian who was present at the festival was Mochakk, also a DJ.
Lukas Ruiz was born in the interior of Mato Grosso do Sul, in the city of Mundo Novo. The 29-year-old DJ started to be interested in electronic music due to the influence of bands from the 1980s and, in 2013, he started his artistic career, aged 20 and already under the name of Vintage Culture.
The DJ’s international career began in 2015, when he caught the attention of international festivals such as Lollapalooza, Tomorrowland and Rock in Rio, and toured Canada, France, Turkey, Sri Lanka, England, Russia, Egypt, South Africa South and Australia. Among Lukas Ruiz’s most successful songs are Hollywood, Drinkee and Wild Kidz.
Tomorrow, Sunday (23), is the last day of Coachella, after two weekends of concerts.
