During an interview for Portal POPline, Jeremy Latcham and the directors John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein shared their experiences and memories with the iconic game RPG“Dungeons & Dragons“. Since its release in 1974, the game has left a lasting mark on the childhoods and adolescences of many people, including the film's directors themselves.”Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Rebels“. However, not everyone was allowed to enter the magical and fantastic world of the game during their youth, as was the case with the producer Jeremy Latcham. “I wasn't allowed to play! My parents forbade me“, said Latcham, to the portal POPline.
Luckily, Jonathan M. Goldstein had more freedom to play. He shared his memories: “I played when I was a kid, with my older brother as the Dungeon Master, but he always killed me“. The film “Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Rebels” premiered in cinemas across the country this Thursday (13), and received excellent reviews from the public and critics.

About the game:
For those unfamiliar with the world of role-playing games, “Dungeons & Dragons” may seem like a big deal. But really, it's just a game that uses a rules system to help players create stories and characters in a universe of medieval fantasy.
The game's basic mechanics involve exploring and conquering dungeons, defeating enemies and rolling dice to determine the success of the characters' actions. Over time, the roleplaying factor gained more space in editions of the system, allowing players to develop their characters' stories in more depth.
The success of “D&D” opened the doors for many others RPGseach with its own unique rules and characteristics. Some follow the medieval fantasy theme, such as “Pathfinder” and the Brazilian “Storm”, while others explore different stories and genres, such as “Call of Cthulhu”, inspired by the author’s horror mythology HP Lovecraft.
