This Wednesday (22), through his social network, Instagram, singer Sam Smith announced that he will make a special appearance in And Just Like That, a revival of Sex and the City. The announcement was made with photos of the singer in the dressing room and the participation will be in the second season of the HBO Max series.

The corner when announcing posted the following images with the caption “even something profane on the set”, referencing Unholy, his song in partnership with Kim Petras.

The series And Just Like That is the revival of the 1990s hit Sexy and The City and is executive produced by Michael Patrick King and stars Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis.

The series will deal with the transition of Carrie (Parker), Miranda (Nixon) and Charlotte (Davis) from complicated lives and relationships in their 30s to the more complex reality of life and friendship in their 50s.

The male cast of the second season will feature the same cast as the original series. However, there will be some new additions, such as Sara Ramirez from Grey's Anatomy, Sarita Choudhury from The Hunger Games and John Corbett from My Big Fat Greek Wedding.

The official premiere date for the second season of the series has not yet been announced. However, the first season and a documentary about the production are still available on HBO Max.

It is worth remembering that the news shared by Smith and the series' official website comes less than a month after the release of the singer and actor's latest album, which was released in January. The album is available on major audio streaming platforms and has 13 tracks, with highlights such as Unholy, Im Not Here To Make Friends, Gimme and Who We Love, and features guest appearances by Kim Petras, Calvin Harris, Jessie Reyes and Ed Sheeran.
