During the Xbox Games Showcase, we saw the first gameplay details of this insane reboot of the classic secret agent series.

The trailer showed the agent's mission Joanna Dark in Cairo, in a near future, full of mysteries and action.

What is Perfect Dark?

Perfect Dark is a first-person secret agent thriller set in a futuristic world. The guys at Team Perfect Dark were inspired by the first two games in the series, but created a new story and a completely renewed universe. The game is single-player, with several missions that you can complete your way. It has parkour, gadgets, hand-to-hand combat and weapons, as well as stealth mechanics. It's like a mix of FPS, immersive simulation and stealth action – a true secret agent fantasy.

Who is Joanna Dark?

Where does the game take place?

The game takes place in the near future in Cairo, a place impacted by environmental disasters. The setting is a mix of ancient and modern, perfect for the game's science fiction story. The city is protected by a wall, isolated from the hostile environment outside, and full of technological innovation.

What is Joanna's Mission?

Joanna goes to Cairo to capture Daniel Carrington. She will invade a district called Garden City, where Core Mantis is revitalizing the area with eco-technological processes. She discovers a hiding place used by Carrington and begins to uncover more mysteries about the city.

What about Gadgets?

Gadgets are essential for a secret agent, right? In the trailer, Joanna uses a gadget to analyze voices and create vocal “deepfakes”, tricking security systems and impersonating other characters. She can also scan NPCs to learn more about them – like, total investigation!

How Does Combat Work?

Combat is full of options. In the trailer, we saw lethal and non-lethal weaponry, hand-to-hand combat and abilities to take down multiple enemies at once. You can be stealthy or sneak in the door, it depends on your choice.
