Converse teams up with NBA All-Star Devin Booker to produce a new Chuck 70

The Chuck Taylor All Star, Converse’s pioneering model that emerged from basketball, designed to be a sneaker that won’t slip, today has become a fashion classic. Taking into account its history, the brand continues to stimulate athletes and sports lovers by offering itself as a platform to be a means of expression of creativity. The film pays homage to the American classic, and depicts Booker driving through the desert somewhere in the southwestern United States. The audiovisual project Tyler, The Creator’s Really Cool Converse Club, which rapper created with the brand in 2021, inspired Booker to produce his own video, reinforcing Converse’s commitment to using his legacy as inspiration for creativity.

The formation of the Devin Booker Chuck 70 combines modern and classic concepts, in an American and acronym style. The silhouette is customized with an undyed canvas upper, complemented by the famous patch of the brand’s star embroidered on the ankle off white that covers the entire shoe, and its midsole is smooth, without the stripes and toe guard common in traditional Converse sneaker configurations. A subtle Arizona ‘Pretty Penny’ plaque on the heel is a nod to the license plate on Booker’s first classic car, finishing off the details on the monochromatic pair.

This release takes place on April 17th, and the shoe will be available on e-commerce Brazilian Converse , aligning with the start of the season for playoffs of the NBA, in which Booker’s team, the Phoenix Suns, will be in contention for the championship.
