Lisa Presley exposes details of Elvis Presley's death in her autobiography

Lisa Marie Presley, daughter of the rock king, Elvis Presley, heiress of Graceland's mansion, wrote a book titled From here to the great unknown. After your deathAt 54, the work was completed by his daughter, Riley Keough. In the posthumous book, Lisa reveals striking and painful moments of her life and brings unpublished details about living with her father and marriage to Michael Jackson.

Riley Keough, Lisa's daughter, told an interview with Fantastic that the mother has always been the darling of the house. As a child, he experienced the complex relationship of the family, besides living with his father's addiction, which, she said, did her best to fight dependence. Riley also recalled an unusual moment of her mother's childhood, as when Elvis went to a meeting of parents and teachers at Lisa school, staggering because of drugs. Despite the difficulty with the addiction, everyone present at the meeting were impressed by the presence of the King of Rock.

Death of Elvis Presley

The book reveals unknown aspects of the singer's life, as well as sharing in detail what she lived on her father's death day on August 16, 1977. At just 9 years old, Lisa Marie found Elvis fainted on the house's bathroom floor in Graceland, being prevented from approaching the singer by the businessman and family friend, Joe Esposito. That was not the first time the girl witnessed her father in that state. According to Lisa, there were other situations where she found him unable to control her own body or lying on the floor, mentioning the barbiturates, sedative medications that Elvis made use.

Howeverthis time the end was tragic. When he found him unconscious and lying on the bathroom floor, they tried to revive him, but in vain. Elvis Presley's death on August 16, 1977 profoundly marked the lives of his daughter and millions of fans around the world.

Relationship with the pop star

The artist also describes her relationship with the singer Michael Jacksonwith whom he was married for two years, between 1994 and 1996. At the time, he was 35 years old, and she, 25. Lisa tells the intensity of the love that Michael felt for her, who always said to be in love and wanted to marry and have children with the singer. Despite her passion, she mentions signs that Jackson gave and led her to question her mental health. In addition, the artist reveals that the king of pop had his own anesthetist doctor around, which made her believe that he needed someone to manage drugs legally.

Remember that the musician died of cardiac arrest in June 2009, after his personal doctor, Conrad Murray, managed some medicines so that the singer could rest. Michael faced a serious problem of chronic insomnia, having a hard time sleeping and therefore often turned to medications and drugs to rest.

The decision to request the divorce was taken by Presley after a series of questions about the singer's behavior. Even after the separation, communication between the two continued, and the bond, despite everything, remained strong.
