Simpsons episode: In the series The Simpsons will be communicated for the first time this weekend in the American sign language, reports Variety Friday.
To voice one of the deaf characters, the makers have asked actor John Autry II, who is hard of hearing himself.
The creators say that bringing about the episode was a challenge, because the cartoon characters only have four fingers instead of five.
“That was quite difficult, especially because we wanted to translate Shakespeare,” says writer Loni Steele Sosthand. “But I think we succeeded.”

The episode that can be seen this weekend revolves around Lisa Simpson and her musical mentor and great example: the late saxophonist Bleeding Gums Murphy.
He appears to have a son who was born deaf. The boy wants a hearing aid and Lisa helps him with that. In her enthusiasm she works a little too exuberantly, which causes the necessary problems.
