Tat Werneck rebels against Globo Presenters and Defends Marcos Mion

Journalist Alessandro Lo-Bianco posted on Instagram that some Globo presenters are not happy with the recent hiring of Marcos Mion. Comedian Tatá Werneck gave a response on Wednesday, the 18th, about the matter.

According to the journalist, the complaints, leaked from a WhatsApp conversation, were due to the way the broadcaster is handling Mion's arrival. One of the presenters, whose names were kept confidential, wrote: “Mion looks like a poor person with this behavior“, while another claimed that “this celebration is bordering on ridiculous“, citing the moment when Mion arrived at Projac and was greeted by a red carpet.

On the other hand, Tatá Werneck made a point of clarifying that she does not share the same opinion and left a comment on Rainha Matos' post on Instagram: “Geez, I didn't go 🙂 On the contrary, I think it's cool to see a man like him, super successful and with money, etc., become a child again with a new job. We really get excited when we go to Globo. Globo is part of the imagination of all artists 🙂 May Mion be a success”.

The broadcaster, aware of what had happened, sent an email to employees about the incident asking for respect for the new hire. In the official statement, everyone was asked to collaborate so that Mion would feel embraced in his new home and added: “where one wins, everyone wins as a unit.”

Marcos Mion was hired on the 6th and has several projects for next year. He is expected to host a reality show that has not yet been announced, a weekly program and present broadcasts of music festivals. Also in 2021, he will take over Caldeirão in place of Luciano Huck. Mion has also already recorded his participation in the next season of Lady Night, by Tatá Werneck.
