Yuri Alberto, from Corinthians, enters the top-10 of the best scorers

Yuri Alberto, Corinthians player, joined the select list of the top-10 scorers in Brazil this year. The goal scored yesterday (29) against São Paulo, at the Mané Garrincha stadium, in Brasília, in the Brazilian Championship, placed the player among the top 10. The list also includes players from other clubs. Pablo Vegetti, from Vasco, was included in the list after rising in the scoring rankings in the last game, but the one who leads the list with 30 goals is Pedro, from Flamengo.

Last year, Fluminense player German Cano was Brazil's top scorer, playing in 61 matches, in which the athlete found the back of the net 40 times. Pedro, from Flamengo, and Paulinho, from Atlético-MG, with 35 and 31 goals, respectively, completed the second and third place on the podium.

To date, the striker occupies first place in the ranking of Brazil's best scorers. Last year, the player managed to stay on the podium until the end of the season, with 35 goals. Remaining in second place, if he achieves the same feat, he will be considered, for two consecutive years, one of the three best scorers in Brazil.

Signed by Flamengo since January 2022, he is considered an idol; collects several titles for the club, such as the 2022 Libertadores and the 2020 Brazilian Championship. In January 2023, he renewed his contract with the red-black team until the end of 2027. Pedro Guilherme also played for Fluminense in 2014, and in 2016 he was the main scorer in Brazil's youth categories, scoring 32 goals.

The list of the best in 2024 includes, in addition to Pedro do Flamengo, Juan Martín Lucero with 30 goals; Gonzalo Mastriani with 22 goals; Flaco López, Anselmo Ramon and Isidro Pitta with 21 goals; Nicolas with 20 goals; Luís Fernando with 19 goals and Vegetti, Yuri Alberto, Junior Santos and Erick Pulga with 18 goals.
