BTS's Jin achieves new Spotify record

“Yours” is part of the soundtrack for the South Korean drama “Jirisan” and was written by renowned music director Gaemi. The track was released on November 7, 2021 and took just 73 days to reach the record on the streaming platform. The producer, who was responsible for the track, stated that Jin was chosen by “demonstrate excellent vocal skills“.

Jin comments on his journey as a musician

The South Korean singer spoke about his journey as an artist and how his first solo track, “Awake”, changed the way he thinks about music. In an interview with GQ Australia, Jin revealed that he reached a high point by writing his first solo song for the group's 2016 studio album, “Wings.” “My first solo track, 'Awake', was the first time I felt the desire to try something new as a musician. My record company gave me the chance to try writing songs. Until then, I hadn't dared to try anything with our group songs“, revealed the artist. The singer revealed that he decided to give it a chance after working on the solo track, noting that “As I watched more and more members of our group working on their own songs, I thought I should at least try“.

Jin revealed that he is meticulous with his production. “I hesitate to write about things I can't completely relate to. There's a part of me that can't help but wonder: Do I have the right to write about this? Am I someone who truly embodies and lives this topic?
