Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady are separated, says CNN

Brazilian model Gisele Bündchen and Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady are currently going through a “marital problems” It is “living separately”reported the American media group CNN last Thursday (15), citing two unidentified sources.

The two have been married since 2009 and share two minor children together: Benjamin (14) and Vivian (9). The NFL legend is also father to Jack (15), from his previous relationship with actress Bridget Moynahan.

The CNN story aired days after the model addressed “concerns” about her husband's return to football for a 23rd season in an exclusive interview with Elle magazine earlier this week. However, Gisele made sure to express her desire for Tom to be happy.

“This is a very violent sport, I have my children and I would like it to be more present”said Gisele Bündchen. “I've definitely had that conversation with him multiple times. But ultimately, I feel like everyone needs to make the decision that works for them. He needs to pursue his happiness as well.”

Gisele declined to comment to the magazine about the tabloid reports of their alleged split, but the model did speak about how she gave up her own career for her husband to pursue his NFL dreams by moving to Boston and “creating a cocoon” to raise her children, and how she is ready to pursue her dreams outside the spotlight.

Tom Brady retired from the NFL in February, but decided to return to his career 40 days later. According to Sports Illustrated, he had already taken a brief leave of absence during training camp this year to address a medical condition. “personal problem”, Tampa Bay coach Todd Bowles said in August, fueling speculation that the player's absence could be related to his marriage.

In his podcast, “Let's Go!”last week, the quarterback said that he didn't get to participate in many personal events because of his work.

“I haven't had a Christmas in 23 years, and I haven't had a Thanksgiving in 23 years, I haven't celebrated birthdays with people I love who were born in August until the end of January. I can't be at funerals and I can't be at weddings,” Brady said. “I think there comes a point in your life where you say, 'You know what? I've had enough and it's time to move on, to move on to other parts of life.'”
