In their tenth game away from home, Inter beats Corinthians in Florianópolis

Internacional and Corinthians entered the field for the 10th round of the Brazilian Championship and, despite the adversities, Colorado beat Timão in Florianópolis 1-0.

Inter arrived in a very complicated situation for the match. There were nine absences, coach Eduardo Coudet didn't even have a full bench, only nine players available, instead of 12. Not to mention the arduous routine Colorado is going through due to the tragedy in Rio Grande do Sul, without being able to use its stadium, which continues to recover from the rains in the state.

Corinthians, despite still having some casualties, had the return of midfielder Rodrigo Garro and defender Gustavo Henrique. He also had something new in goal, Matheus Donelli returned to being a starter at Timão after almost two years.

Contrary to what was expected, Corinthians started better, taking the initiative and frequenting Internacional's defensive area more. In the team from Rio Grande do Sul's first great attempt at the Corinthian goal, Gustavo Henrique failed to time the ball and Alario filled the net, but after a review of more than 2 minutes by the VAR, an adjusted offside was identified, and the goal was disallowed.

A great goal to open the scoring

After Alario's disallowed goal, Inter took control of the match and began to impose themselves. After some attacks, mainly generated by striker Wesley, in a great play and a shot from Donelli's corner, it was Wesley himself who turned the score around for Colorado. Corinthians still tried to press, but the first half ended 1 x 0.

Different situations

Corinthians improved compared to the end of the first half, but it was not enough to reverse the adverse score. Timão played a game below expectations and have now gone six games without a win. Timão ends Wednesday night in the relegation zone.

On the other hand, Inter rose three positions in the table and is now in 9th place, which gives the team an extra boost to face its biggest rival, Grêmio, in the next round.
