Jão's release reaches 3.5 million streams in 3 days

Last Tuesday (11), singer Jão surprised fans with the new album “Supernova”, which soon began to play each of the 8 tracks made available by the artist. The songs make up the narrative of the album “Super”, released in 2023, and which gave its name to the artist’s current tour, called “Super Tour”.

Super and Supernova

Released in August 2023, “Super” was Jão’s biggest hit in his career. The album broke the record for the highest number of streams in 24 hours in the history of Spotify Brazil. The album features hits such as “Me Lambe”, “Costa Jaca” and “Sanidade”.

Along with the album, the singer launched a new tour entitled “Super Tour”, which visited several cities in Brazil, filling stadiums and generating revenue of almost R$30 million.

In “Supernova”, Jão brings several new songs and shows his vast repertoire. In “Carnaval”, the singer brings the soft acoustic in a short and beautiful track. “O Triste É Que Eu Te Amo” is a sample from Peter Bjorn and John in the song “Young Folks”. “Locadora” is a track that was released on the album “Super”, but extended on the new release and drove fans crazy. The last track on the album is “Paranoid”, the first song sung in English by Jão.

Jão continues to chart a great path among the greatest musicians in the country. The release of “Supernova” reached 3.5 million streams and all of its songs reached the top 100 in Brazil. The project was highly praised for its repertoire of rhythms, song cohesion and evolution of the singer's latest work.
