Johnny Depp sells homemade portraits:
Johnny Depp has sold 3 million British pounds (3.5 million euros) of his own artworks in a few hours, reports Daily Mail Friday. These are portraits of Bob Dylan, Keith Richards, Al Pacino and Elizabeth Taylor.
Depp released the series of pop art portraits under the name Friends & Heroes. It was a limited edition of 780 pieces. The portraits cost 4,700 euros each or 17,800 euros per set of four. The collection was sold out within a few hours.
The 59-year-old actor announced the sale of his art Thursday via Instagram. “I’ve always used art to express my feelings and think about who’s important to me. Like my family, friends and people I admire,” Depp wrote.
“My paintings are a big part of my life. But I kept them to myself, limiting myself. No one should ever limit themselves,” said the Pirates of the Caribbean actor.
