Singer Bruno reaches an agreement with Thaliane after accusations of misogyny

Singer Bruno, known for his musical partnership with Marrone, amicably resolved the dispute with influencer Thaliane Pereira. As part of the settlement, Bruno issued a public retraction on his profile on Instagram and agreed to pay compensation of BRL 10,000 to influencer. The information was confirmed by the Court of Justice of São Paulo and by the defense attorney, Gabriella Pontes Garcia.

According to Gabriella, Bruno published the retraction on February 13, following a provisional court order. The lawyer reinforces that the objective was achieved, stating: “our biggest concern was getting the retraction“.

On April 4, a hearing was held and both parties agreed to end the lawsuit amicably. Gabriella claims that, at that point, there was no point in continuing with the dispute and that all parties involved were satisfied with the settlement.

The controversy started when Bruno shared on his profile a photo of Thaliane on a boat, holding a fish next to her friend Luana Targino. The caption of the post, which read “Tilaska, Tilapia and Tikebra“, was later removed.

At the time, Luana’s lawyer issued a statement in which she stated “The influencer Luana Targinno was surprised by a publication made by the singer Bruno, improperly using her image and that of a friend, without any kind of authorization and with a pejorative connotation. It is inadmissible, in any sector of society, the propagation or incitement of misogynistic discourse, as if women were an object of consumption, especially from a person with such expression in the artistic environment“.

It is worth remembering that, recently, singer Bruno was involved in yet another controversy, in which he was accused of making transphobic comments. In a video, he questioned the genitals of trans journalist Lisa Gomes. Lisa, like Thaliane, revealed that she had called her lawyers. So far, however, we have no more news about the case.
