Brazilian singer Anitta spoke out this Monday (13), after facing a considerable drop in the number of followers on her social networks, motivated by the announcement of her most recent music video, “Aceita”, where she celebrates her religion, Candomblé, in a cult dedicated to its head orixá, Logunedé.

Loss of followers and gratitude

Anitta surprised by sharing with her fans the news that she lost around 100 thousand followers after revealing her intention to show her faith in the music video for “Aceita. In a post on her Instagram, she expressed her gratitude and stated that this new phase of her life is marked by choosing quality over quantity.

“I lost 100 thousand followers after announcing the clip where I will show my religion. Laroyê Exu, removing from my paths everything that no longer serves me. In this new phase, I chose quality over quantity. Axe. Gratitude”wrote the artist.

Celebrating Candomblé in “Aceita”

The music video for “Aceita” is scheduled to premiere on Wednesday (15), and has already generated great anticipation among the singer's fans. In the images released, Anitta appears in a terreiro alongside her pai de santo, her brother and her biological father. She chose to use the synopsis of the samba-enredo “Logun-Edé: Holy boy that old man respects”, as a caption, highlighting the importance of this orixá in her life and art.

Furthermore, Logunedé will be the central theme of Unidos da Tijuca Carnival 2025, showing the cultural and religious relevance of Candomblé in Brazilian society.
