Lorde has trouble with what is involved in the life of a popular artist. Speaking to Vogue, the 24-year-old New Zealander says she is very sensitive and has difficulty with the public tasks of pop star life.
“I’m great at my job, but I don’t know if I’m the ideal person for the artist life,” Lorde said. “I’m extremely sensitive and I’m not made for the pop star life.”
For the singer, who broke through with Royals, public performances are very intensive. “I’m not good at that. I don’t have that natural charisma that you have to have for that.”

“I can do things like photo shoots, red carpet events and interviews to the point that I’m completely exhausted. But then I really distance myself from it and you don’t see me for a few years,” says Lorde, who recently released a new album after four years.
“Then I lead a completely different life and go to every party, cook every meal that exists and take every walk that is possible. And if I feel like I’ve done that enough, I’ll be back in the spotlight.”
