The two were having lunch at a restaurant in Los Angeles, in the United States, when a paparazzi found them and captured the images. The website Page Six, who released the material exclusively, then claimed that the situation was nothing more than a misunderstanding.

The public began to learn more about the relationship between Vittoria Ceretti and Leonardo DiCaprio in August, when they were seen during a party in Ibiza, Spain.
