Letícia Colin is nominated for the 2022 International Emmy in the Best Actress category

The best global TV productions will be awarded on November 21st at the International Emmy, a gala event that brings together big names in TV.

This year's award nominees received their medals at the traditional International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences ceremony that kicked off the Television Festival. During the event, debates about the television industry will take place this weekend.

Among the nominees, Letícia Colin received the nomination medal in the Best Actress category for her participation in Onde Está Meu Coração. Colin's character, Amanda, is a doctor who feels overwhelmed with her role and ends up in the world of drugs.

While filming the series in 2019, the actress discovered her pregnancy, the result of her relationship with actor Michel Melamed.

Actor Daniel de Oliveira, who played Letícia's romantic partner in the series, praised her during a press conference.

“This woman got into the character, she discovered she was pregnant at the time, it was very emotional. I cried a lot when she told me.”

Productions made outside the United States and productions made in non-English languages, even those produced on American TV, are awarded at the International Emmy, which recognizes their excellence through awards.

The International Emmy recognizes excellence in productions made exclusively for TV outside the United States, as well as non-English language content produced for American TV.

In addition to Letícia Colin, 2 more Brazilians were nominated for the award edition.

O Caso Evandro, a Glopoplay series, was nominated for Best Documentary. It tells the story of

a boy who disappeared in 1992, at the age of six, whose body was used in a macabre ritual.

The soap opera Nos Tempos do Imperador was also nominated for an Emmy in the Best Soap Opera category. The television series tells the story of the Brazilian Imperial family during the time they were in Brazil, in Rio de Janeiro.
