Preta Gil vents: ‘The pain of betrayal cannot stop me’

Always updating fans and followers about my health status and treatment against bowel cancer, Black Gil used social media to vent this Thursday, May 25.

Even at dawn, the 48-year-old artist published a message highlighting the affection and gratitude for all the people who were with her in her first “wanderings”.

The singer went for a quad bike ride in Ibirapuera Park and bowling, in São Paulo, where she is living during the treatment period.

Despite the gratitude and optimism at the end of the message, the singer mentioned the word betrayal. It is worth mentioning that she is separated from Rodrigo Godoy, who was spotted with her former personal stylist.

“And this love motivates me to react, even with so much physical and emotional pain I no longer allow myself not to enjoy life, the pain of the disappointment of betrayal cannot paralyze me”, said the singer in the post.

“Day after day I reconnect with my essence and smile again”, he added.

PRETA SAYS THAT SHE DOESN’T HAVE THE STRENGTH TO THINK

Gradually, Preta Gil gains strength while undergoing treatment for bowel cancer. In her Instagram Stories, the singer reported the moments she has been facing in recent months, quickly citing the separation.

“Today I went back to work, very lightly, only three meetings, kkk (sic). But seriously, after so many months without thinking about work, not because I wanted to, but because I couldn’t, the chemotherapy made me very depressed, then I even had sepsis and separation all at the same time. Chaos, I didn’t have the head or strength to think about work.”

Returning to routine, amid chemotherapy and other care, she said that, after talking to her psychologist, she made the decision to work.

“Last week, one of the nurses who take care of me at the hospital told me that a lot of people go to the hospital at lunchtime from work for radiotherapy and then come back to work. I kept that in my head and, talking to my psychologist, I decided to go back little by little.”
