Survivor Could Have Been Delayed Again, But Crew and Director Refused

Asmussen was asked by the IGN at the time if the release date, after the postponement of the beginning of the year, would really be April 28th. He told the site that the team was asked how much more time they needed, and concluded that it would take six more weeks.
The director revealed that the team thoroughly evaluated the situation before stipulating the new date, including looking at which games would be released at about the same time, such as Redfall and Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, to find a suitable day for Jedi: Survivor.
Finally, Asmussen stated that it would have been possible to delay the launch further, but they chose not to.
The state in which Star Wars Jedi: Survivor was released shows that the decision was not the right one. This tarnished Respawn Entertainment’s reputation and now the game depends on many updates to fix all its technical problems, something that seems to have become an industry standard for AAA titles (especially on PC), save for exceptions.
