Jão is preparing a stadium tour in Brazil for 2023, says journalist

The current sensation of the national pop world, singer João Vitor Romania Balbino, better known by his stage name Jão, has been enjoying huge success with the release of his latest album, entitled “Pirate”and the series of shows on the album tour that quickly sold out all tickets.

In São Paulo alone, more than 40,000 tickets were sold during five sold-out shows at Espaço das Américas, which has a capacity for 8,000 people. Since the debut of his current tour on March 12 in Rio de Janeiro, the singer has already scheduled around 35 shows, 28 of which have sold out. With the lack of tickets for his shows in smaller venues, the situation could lead the artist to tour stadiums and arenas in the second half of 2023.

According to journalist José Noberto Flesch (known for announcing shows), Jão had already scheduled a performance in places such as the Allianz Parque stadium, in São Pauloand in Mineirão in Belo Horizontewhich can hold 45,000 and 62,000 people respectively. Furthermore, according to the journalist, the singer will take the new tour to Rio de Janeiro at the Jeunesse Arena, which has a capacity for 18,000 people, and at the Nilson Nelson Gymnasium in Brasilia where 24 thousand people can watch. Strength is also among those scheduled, but the location has not yet been announced. The singer has not yet officially announced the dates of the shows, but Flesch says that the shows are already being prepared.

Currently in Europe, where he will perform a series of shows in Portugal starting next Wednesday (03), the 27-year-old singer has been enjoying success since his performance at Lollapalooza Brazil in March of this year. With an audience singing along to all of his songs, the young artist had one of the best performances at the event. The audience even voted his show the best of the festival in a G1 poll.

It is worth remembering that Jão is scheduled to perform at Rock In Rio on the Sunset Stage – which will feature Avril Lavigne, Di Ferreiro and Vitor Kley – on September 9th.
