Silk Sonic releases 'Smokin Out the Window' and releases album tracklist

As promised by Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak, the duo Silk Sonic, on their social networks, today (05) the track “Smokin Out the Window” and its music video were released on all digital platforms. This is the group's third video, after “Leave the Door Open” It is “Skateboard”, launched in March and July of this year, respectively. Bruno and Anderson took the opportunity to release the album's complete tracklist “An Evening With Silk Sonic”, which will be released next Friday (12).

The band's retro aesthetic has already become a strong characteristic. The tones of yellowish and warm images that take us back to the 70s and 80s are present once again in “Smokin Out the Window”. In the music video, which is very reminiscent of “Treasure”, also by Bruno Mars, the singers talk about heartbreak, dressed in an elegant brown suit. Although it talks about a love that no longer exists, the song has a light and striking melody.

“This b*tch made me pay her rent, pay for trips, diamonds on her neck, diamonds on her wrists and here I am alone. I'm so cold, I'm so cold, you brought me here. Smoking by the window, singing, how could she do this to me. Oh I thought that girl belonged only to me, but I was wrong, because she belongs to everyone.”, says an excerpt from the song.

Taking advantage of the momentum of the release, Mars, .Paak and Silk Sonic's official profile released the album's complete tracklist, which is closer than ever. “An Evening With Silk Sonic” has its premiere scheduled for the 12th, coinciding with the release of “30”, Adele album.

Before the release of the clip, the duo held a live press conference to answer questions and other questions from their fans. In less than 24 hours since its debut on YouTube, “Smokin Out the Window” has more than 3.3 million views. In addition to the musical contribution, Bruno Mars directed the music video together with John Esparza.
