Brazil: a country of digital vulnerabilities
Brazil: a country of digital vulnerabilities
– best Ai and Ai related updates, fresh and up to date Ai reviews, technologies and best Ai earning Opportunities near you!
Brazil is experiencing a contradiction: at the same time as figure among the countries most connected in the worldcontinues with a large part of the population excluded from the productive use of technology.
Only 3% of Brazilians have advanced digital skills, while around 50% do not even master basic tasks, such as sending an email with an attachment. WhatsApp penetration reaches 73% of the population.
Still, being online doesn’t mean being included. Digital literacy is not about accessing a social network. It’s about using technology to learn, work, undertake, access public services and participate in economic and civic life.
Without digital literacy – and, now, without literacy in artificial intelligence – the country runs the risk of widening structural inequalities and compromising its global competitiveness.
DIGITAL LITERACY AS SOCIAL INFRASTRUCTURE
With this understanding, the SoulCode AcademyBrazilian edtech for digital inclusion, has been mobilizing companies, governments and organizations to accelerate inclusive digital development in the country.
On one of its fronts, the organization operates directly in territories, in regions where access to technological training is limited, providing training in digital skills and AI fundamentals to rural women entrepreneurs, grassroots workers and local communities.
The training has already taken place in Itapiranga (AM), Pecém (CE) and Paço do Canaã (MA), with groups of farmers, artisans and entrepreneurs who learn everything from safe cell phone use to practical AI applications, such as climate forecasting for harvesting, financial organization and marketing strategies through social networks.
In Vale do Jequitinhonha (MG), SoulCode carried out special digital literacy training with AI for Arraiolo rug weavers and artisans – women who combine tradition and innovation.
From this experience, they discovered how the use of technology can enhance crafts, expand sales channels and strengthen cultural and creative tourism in the region.
SoulCode was born to democratize access to technological knowledge, translating the complex and showing that innovation is not the privilege of large capitals, corporate laboratories or university hubs.
But the transformation is also identity-related. When a woman understands that she can use technology to enhance her work, whether on the farm, in the studio or in the kitchen, she transforms her story – and that of her community.
Only 3% of Brazilians have advanced digital skills; 50% do not master even basic tasks.
Brazil will only be digital if everyone is digital. And that means training people, creating autonomy, productivity and economic inclusion where it transforms the most.
Brazil is still a country of digital vulnerability. But it can become a reference in intelligent digital inclusion – one that combines technology, purpose and real impact.
When knowledge reaches those who need it most, inclusion stops being a promise and becomes: income generation, strengthening local economies, expanded citizenship and sustainable development.
Technology is a tool. Inclusion is choice. And the future, when shared, is a multiplier.
