A$AP Rocky and Pharrell Williams surprise with successful partnership!

Rappers A$AP Rocky and Pharrell Williams released a new partnership last Thursday (20), on all digital platforms, following the hit “Same Problems?”.

The new single features high levels of polish, with Rocky's hip-hop and rap influences, and also highlighting Pharell's production.

The campaign

The track will be part of an advertising campaign for a famous headphone brand, Beats, originally produced by Rocky, where it will feature the participation of artists and will star alongside the rapper's girlfriend, Rihanna. The singer is pregnant with her second child.

According to the statement, the campaign results will be released soon.

Beats, together with Rocky, launched the new Beats Studio Pro, in which the singer directed and starred in the short film, which was titled “Iconic Sound” (See below). The campaign marks the rapper’s debut as a commercial director.

The clip

In partnership with Pharrell Williams, in just two days, the music video reached more than a million views on YouTube.RIOT (Rowdy Pipe'n)” sent fans into a frenzy when the rapper called his partner Rihanna his “wife” in the lyrics, sparking speculation that the couple are more serious than they appear.

The album

In an interview with Complex MusicRocky shared that what was delaying the album's release “Don't Be Dumb” was the excess of leaks.

“They need to stop leaking! These guys need to stop leaking my songs”, he commented, “Every time, we have to go back to the drawing board and do the work”, lamented the rapper. Even though the leaks were responsible for the delay in the album's release, fans didn't have to wait long to hear it, according to the rapper.

“Right now I think we're in a place where we've tightened up and we really can't afford to miss anything.”, he revealed. “We're in album mode, it's time to start releasing the project”, he concluded about the reason for postponing the new album.

Rocky previously released the singles “Same Problems?”, “Sh*ttin' Me” It is “DMB”.

In addition to Pharrell's notable appearance on the album, he won't be the only one, as in an interview Rocky highlighted a list of producers who are on his new album. “We have Pharrell Williamswe have Dean Bluntwe have Metro Boomin. I don't want to leave people out. Rocky is currently 34 years old and is part of the collective A$SAP Mob. The rapper has released two albums and a mixtape with the collective, as well as three solo albums, the latest being “Testing”, from 2018.
