Camila Cabello praises compositions by Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift

In a 2019 interview with Edgar Sotelo and Chelsea Briggs, the singer, songwriter and actress said that she had shown the new track from her album “Romance” to Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift and said the British singer had said it was the best thing she had ever done. Swift and Sheeran have even formed a musical partnership: he not only participated in the album “Red” by the singer, as she embarked on the album's tour across North America during 2013.

The singer also commented on the kindness her idols showed her: “I've been lucky enough to have people at different times show me kindness. When I was 16, 17 years old and still in Fifth Harmony, I fell in love with writing songs. I remember approaching Taylor Swift and being like, 'Hey, what do you do when you're in a writing slump?', or whatever, asking her for advice, and she showed me a lot of kindness. Ed Sheeran too. These were my songwriting heroes so I was happy they were talking to me”.

Cabello has a new album. This one is called “Family” and will feature both the Cuban nationality of the singer and actress (which will be clearly noticeable not only through the songs, but also the aesthetics of the project), as well as the participation of her family. It will be the third album from the award-winning pop artist, following the highly successful “Camila”(2018) and “Romance” (2019).
