Video shows behind the scenes of Transformers in Peru

A Paramount Pictures released last Monday (29) a behind-the-scenes video of the filming of the new film in the franchise “Transformers“, in Peru. “Transformers: Dawn of the Beasts” is the new chapter in the story of the screen’s most beloved robot heroes. The almost two-minute video reveals the team's difficulties in filming at altitude and features exclusive accounts from the actors Anthony Ramos (In a New York neighborhood) It is Dominique Fishback (Judas and the black messiah). In addition, moments from the film are shown in different environments: Machu Picchu, Cusco and the Peruvian Amazon. Check out the video below:

The production script is Joby Harold, Erich Hoeber and the direction is Steven Caple Jrwho also directed ”Creed II”. The film takes place in the 90s, 14 years before the first film in the franchise and introduces us to a new type of transformers: the Maximals. They will join the Autobots in the fight against Decepticons in the land. The film promises a different environment than what audiences are used to from previous films.

“Transformers: the awakening of the beasts” is the first film in a new trilogy, which will have Unicron, a planet devourer, as the new villain. In an interview with the “Den of Geek” portal, director Caple Jr commented on the choice of the villain and his intentions for the next films in the franchise. According to him, Unicron is a “formidable villain” and deserved to be in a live-action film of the franchise.

Furthermore, Caple Jr highlights that he intends to explore not only the new environments on Earth, but also other planets: “I feel like we spend a lot of time on Earth and it would be interesting to see what else is out there, there are different Transformers and different planets”.

The film also features big dubbing names: Michelle Yeoh, Pete Davidson, Peter Dinklage It is Michaela Jae Rodriguez and in the Brazilian version, William Briggs returns once again as the voice of the hero Optimus Prime.

The premiere of the new film is scheduled for June 8th.
