Women rule the day at the festival

The fifth day of Rock in Rio, which takes place this Friday (20), will be led entirely by great female artists in world pop music. The main attraction will be the American Katy Perry, who has several hits, such as “Roar” and “Firework”, and which will possibly be on the show's setlist.

This Friday morning, the singer even released her newest album, titled “143”, this being her first studio album in more than four years, when Perry released “Smile”, in August 2020. For the festival, some songs from the new work will be performed on stage, along with other historic hits from the singer's career.

Other attractions

Palco Mundo also features the Colombian sensation, Karol G, who arrives at Rock in Rio after almost a year on tour to promote his fourth studio album “Mañana Ser Bonito”. The setlist that will be present at the presentation has not yet been revealed.

On a day with 100% women on the festival's main stage, classical singer Cyndi Lauper will also be present, who at 71 years old will perform for the first time in her career at Rock in Rio, singing her main hits, such as “ Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” and “Time After Time”.

The one who will open the work on Palco Mundo will be the Brazilian Ivete Sangalo, an artist known as an attraction of the event, appearing in all national editions since 2011. Adding together the versions of Rock in Rio Madrid, Lisbon and Las Vegas, the singer is the artist to step on the festival's stages more often, with a total of 17 performances.
