Beyoncé hits number one on US country chart

Beyoncé marked yet another achievement in the history of American music. After the release of the singles “16 Carriages” and “Texas Hold'Em”, the singer became the first black woman to reach number one on the United States country charts and the second woman to reach this mark, behind only Taylor Swift who came in first place when she re-recorded the songs “All Too Well” and “Love Story”.

In addition to topping the country charts, Beyoncé also became the first black woman to top both the “Hot Country Songs” and “Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs” charts. Artists like Justin Bieber, Billy Rae Cyrus and Ray Charles have also reached this mark.

“Texas Hold'Em”, a song in partnership with the winner of Grammy, Rhiannon Giddens, was released at halftime superbowl, which took place last Sunday (11), and took second place in the ranking of the most played. The single was listened to 19.2 million times on streaming platforms and had 4.8 million audiences across all formats.

In 2023, Beyoncé broke the biggest record of her career, when the singer became the most awarded artist in the history of the world. Grammy, going on to win 32 golden gramophones. The awards highlighted the album “Reinassence”, from 2022, which has already been toured and should have a continuation later this year.

Right after the commercial verizon, during the break superbowl, Beyoncé took to social media to announce the release of “Renassence Act II” for March this year. The album, which will continue the album that was released in 2022 and, most likely, will follow a country sound. Along with the announcement, the singer posted some photos with boots and a cowboy hat, implying that this is the style of her new era.
