David Harbor's new film has its first poster released

A Universal Pictures released this Wednesday (14) the first official poster of “Violent Night”, new film starring David Harbour. In the story, a family's home is invaded by a group of mercenaries on Christmas Eve. The team of criminals is surprised by Santa Claus (Harbour) who appears to confront them.

The cast includes John Leguizamo (“John Wick”), Cam Gigandet (“Twilight”), Beverly D'Angelo (“Entourage”), Edi Patterson (“The Righteous Gemstones“), Alex Haskell (“Cowboy Bebop“), Alexis Louder (“Cross-fire“). David Harbor compared this production to “Die Hard” (1988), during CinemaCon, as it is an action film that takes place at Christmas time.

The script was written by the duo responsible for “Sonic: The Movie”: Josh Miller and Pat Casey, while the direction is by Tommy Wirkola, from “Snowflake” (2009). The feature film will premiere in the United States on December 2nd of this year, but there is still no release date in Brazil.

After the poster was published on the official pages, David Harbor joined the Trending Topic on Twitter, with more than 4000 posts mentioning his name. Harbor has been operating since 1999, having debuted on Broadwaygot his first roles on television in the same year in the police series “Law and Order”.

David Harbour had a supporting role in “Brokeback Mountain” (2005), “007 – Quantum of Solace” (2008), “The Green Hornet” (2011), “Marked for Death” (2012), “The Protectr” (2014), “Black Mass – Foul Game” (2015) and “Suicide squad” (2016) and played the title character in the adaptation of “Hellboy” in 2019.

The actor drew great attention for his role in the science fiction series “Stranger Things” (2016 – present), where he played Sheriff Jim Hopper. Work that earned him an award win Critic's Choice in 2018, in addition to Golden Globe and Primetime Emmy nominations.
