Netflix announces teaser and photos for miniseries “Senna”

This Wednesday, September 25th, Netflix revealed the first individual images of the cast of the miniseries “Senna”, which tells the life of the three-time Formula 1 world champion driver, who died in a car accident during the San Marino GP. in 1994.

Photographs of Gabriel Leone as Ayrton Senna were revealed; other members also had their images released, including Matt Mela as Alain Prost, actress Alice Wegmann playing Lilian de Vasconcelos who was Senna's first wife. Pâmela Tomé will play presenter Xuxa Meneghel, who also had a relationship with Ayrton and Julia Foti will play presenter Adriane Galisteu, who was the pilot's last romantic relationship.

Actor Gabriel Louchard will play the role of journalist Galvão Bueno, a longtime friend of Senna. Lucas Messer will play Roland Ratzenberger, an Austrian driver who died the day before Senna at the San Marino Grand Prix. Nelson Piquet will be played by Hugo Bonemer, João Maestri will be responsible for playing Brazilian pilot Rubens Barrichello in the miniseries, in addition to other characters. The general direction is in charge of Vicente Amorim. “Senna” was produced by the company Gullane and written by Álvaro Campos, Álvaro Mamute, Gustavo Bragança, Rafael Spínola and Thaís Falcão.

The miniseries has six episodes that show the path of overcoming, going through the sad and happy moments of Ayrton Senna's life; the story of the Brazilian driver begins to be told from the beginning of his racing career, which is a moment when the athlete moves to England to compete in Formula Ford; the sequence of episodes ends at the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix, where Senna died as a result of a car accident. The premiere will take place on November 29th on the Netflix streaming platform.
