Apple launched its own generative artificial intelligence technology for iPhone, iPad and Mac, Apple Intelligence, which also boosted its intelligent virtual assistant. The new Siri presents several new functions – such as integration with ChatGPT – with which Apple promises to improve the user's life.

1. Integration with ChatGPT
Siri can use Open AI's ChatGPT to complement its functions and fulfill certain requests, such as questions about photos or documents. Apple says the user will be able to choose when ChatGPT is used and receive a warning before their information is shared with the chatbot.
2. Greater integration with the system
Apple Intelligence allows the new Siri to be more integrated with the system as a whole and thus be able to perform more functions. By better understanding what happens on the screen, the assistant can interact more with the content, even in third-party applications. For example, if someone receives someone else's address in the Messages app, Siri might say “add this address to contact.”
Furthermore, the assistant offers features adapted to the user and the information present on the device. Apple says Siri will be able to answer personal questions. The user can ask “What time does my mother’s flight arrive?”, and Siri will fetch the flight data to compare with the real-time tracking information and inform the arrival time.
3. Deeper knowledge about Apple products
The new Siri has deeper knowledge about Apple products, so users can take advantage of it to request specific help about the company's devices and their functions. Users can learn everything from how to schedule an email in the Mail app to how to switch between the device's Light Mode and Dark Mode.

4. Siri sharper in requests
Apple's virtual assistant can follow requests even if the person gets confused in pronouncing a word and maintains the context between requests. Furthermore, the new Siri can perform functions using commands alternated between voice and text.
5. Data protection
Apple promises data protection. According to the company, Apple Intelligence recognizes users' personal information without having to collect it and that the data is “never stored”.
Big tech also says that, with Private Cloud Computing, Apple Intelligence can process more complex requests, while protecting user privacy. The tool also promises verifiable privacy.
