Last February, the very first edition of the Miss Aesthetic contest took place in La Cigale hosted by Milla Jasmine and Jean-Michel Maire. But if the event did take place, the backstage is no less doubtful according to an investigation by “Liberation”.
After Miss France, Miss Prestige National or Miss Excellence, it’s time for Miss Aesthetics! Last February, the first edition of this contest was held, hosted by reality TV star Milla Jasmine and Jean-Michel Maire, with values and ideas much less closed than his predecessors on the casting side.
It was Anaïs Bressy, a brown planter, who won the day. At least that’s what she thought.
Liberation conducted its investigation into this unusual event, which was decried for its apology for cosmetic surgery; the winner had to win a world tour, a check for 10,000 euros, thalassotherapy and 15,000 euros to be used only for beauty treatments.
A prize that has barely caused controversy the announced contest. “It is illegal to offer cosmetic surgery as a gain. Medicine should not be practiced as a business,” Muriel Bessis of the Association of Successes and Failures of Cosmetic Surgery told the daily. This is far from the only intriguing detail of the contest.
Several complaints have been filed by female candidates, some for fraud, against the organizing company Glloo Esthetic. If the presence of a judicial officer is not mandatory, the votes to decide were paid contrary to what had been announced in the regulation.
A vote against 3 euros – 0.99 cents for Miss France – not necessarily useful: “We learned after being eliminated that the votes of the public were only used to decide.
If our scores obtained during the selection in front of the jury and the general culture MCQ were too tight between two competitors, then the votes were taken into account.“

The gifts on the sidelines of the contest did not live up to what was planned either. For the last 30 candidates in the running, for example, the one-week preparation trip to Morocco in a 5-star hotel turned into a low-cost stay in Portugal with dormitory rooms with a contribution of 100 euros per person.
The winner was not entitled to the cosmetic surgery prize, withdrawn after the intervention of the Paris Judicial Court.
According to Félix Koum, co-founder of Glloo Esthetic at Liberation, “the candidates received more than 80% of the planned gifts”, the remaining 20% corresponding to the “withdrawals of the partners because of the controversy“.
Nevertheless, registrations for 2023 are already launched.
