To set up Private Space on your Android smartphone, follow the instructions below:

What is needed to use Private Space

The device needs:

• Run Android 15 or newer versions.
• Have more than 6 GB of RAM.
• It's not being a managed device.

You cannot use private space when your device:

• It is disabled by the device manufacturer or corporate administrator.
• Are on a secondary user.
• Have more than 4 users or profiles.

Private space can only be used as the primary user of the device, not as a guest or secondary user.

Android 15: how to add apps to Private Space

To install apps in private space when it is unlocked, follow these instructions:

• In All apps:
  1. Tap and press an app.
  2. Tap Install app in private space.
     • To complete the installation, follow the instructions in the app installer.
     • The new app instance will be installed. The previous instance will not be copied or modified.
• In private space:
  1. Open private space.
  2. Tap Install app.
     • In the private space, you can install apps from the Play Store or with different app installers.

To ensure proper separation, Private Space doesn't allow you to move an app's data from the Main Space to the Private Space.

How to delete or reset private space

Important: when deleting private space:

• You need to authenticate with his lock.
• The app and its data are deleted without a backup.
  • If your app is syncing data with cloud servers, it can be restored when you log into your apps. However, when you restore your device from a backup, your private space will not be restored. Data on the private space device is not backed up.

Delete from private space settings by locking it:

1. On your Android device, open the Settings app.
2. Tap Security and privacy.
3. Under “Privacy,” tap Private space.
4. To unlock, authenticate with private space lock.
   • If you haven't set up a lock for your private space, your device's screen lock will be used by default.
5. To delete the private space, under “System”, tap Delete private space Delete.
6. Authenticate again using private space lock.

1. On your Android device, open the Settings app.
2. Tap System Reset Options Delete private space.
3. Enter the device PIN.
4. Tap Delete.
