johnny de Mol abuse case – The Public Prosecution Service dismisses the case that was brought by Shima Kaes against Johnny de Mol. The investigation has not revealed sufficient evidence that shows that the presenter abused his ex-girlfriend. The Mole says he is relieved.

The Public Prosecution Service says that Kaes was difficult to reach after she had filed a report. After she was heard in March of this year, three other witnesses were heard. The statements did not provide sufficient support for Kaes’ declaration.

“I have always had confidence in the investigation and in this outcome,” de Mol responds. “It was also a difficult time, so I am relieved that this decision is now there. I will take some time, and I will keep you informed when I resume which work. I want to thank everyone for the support and sweet messages I have received recently.”
Kaes shared details of declaration in article
Kaes had a relationship with De Mol from 2014 to 2015. She says that she was abused three times in 2015 by the presenter: on holiday in Mexico, in Amsterdam and on Ibiza. In 2020, she reported assault and attempted manslaughter.
In April of this year, hp/De Tijd published an article with details about Kaes’ declaration. It included photos that matched her statements and medical records of the help she received after two assaults.
De Mol said earlier that the story has haunted him for ages. He acknowledges that the relationship with Kaes was not always harmonious and “certainly does not deserve a beauty prize”. “But with two fingers in the air, I can say: none of the allegations are true. I didn’t do it all and there is certainly no mistreatment.”
Kaes’ legal advisers, Karim Aachboun and Ad Aerts, are still being prosecuted by the Public Prosecution Service. At the end of last year, the De Mol family had filed a report against the duo of threats (a form of extortion). A few weeks before Kaes reported abuse by Johnny, they sent a letter to the family. In it, money was requested in exchange for the ex-partner’s silence about the alleged abuse.
Second indictment against De Mol
At the end of April, De Mol had to deal with a new charge, when an anonymous woman accused him of sexual abuse. A woman would have been drugged by De Mol with GHB and then sexually abused in a hotel.
The Public Prosecution Service previously concluded that there is insufficient evidence in this case as well. So there is no longer a criminal case against the presenter.
The son of John de Mol laid down his presentation work at the end of April for an indefinite period of time. In October he returns to television in Restaurant Misverstand. His work for the talk show HLF8 is currently being taken over by others.
